The museum is run by one person, so replies can take a few days. Reports and takedown requests are looked at sooner (see below).
Email us
Please don’t send personal details such as your address, school or phone number. We’ll only use your email to reply to you.
Report a site
If a site you reached through Surprise Me (or any link in the museum) has changed hands or turned into something else (spam, a casino, malware, a parked page), tell us. The Surprise Me card has a “Report this site” button, and one report takes the site out straight away while we look. We aim to review every report within 24 hours, and a reported site is never put back just to clear a backlog.
If the button doesn’t work for you, email us with the name or address of the site and what is wrong.
Use the address at the top of this page, with the subject “Report a site”.
Takedown requests
Obscure Internet shows logos, pictures and quotations only to talk about history, and always says where they came from. If something here is yours and you want it removed or replaced, or you think it’s wrong, tell us which page it is on and what you’d like us to do. You don’t need legal wording. We deal with these promptly, by removing or replacing the material.
Use the address at the top of this page, with the subject “Takedown request”.
